Galactic Disharmony - Update 1 out now


This update focuses on how the AI behave increasing their effectiveness against aircraft and which weapons they choose to use against enemies. It also reduces their reaction times overall, however more improvements will likely be made to them in future updates.

 I have also started replacing the different bases to make them fit in with the visual style of the game and give each industry a unique look, this update introduces new production  bases which currently replace all bases until i have made the economic and science ones.

 Along with the new bases I have been going over the FPS weapons and getting them inline with the art style and their faction.

**FIXES**

  • Fixed not being able to switch the camera in vehicles
  • Fixed not being able to change altitude in super unit
  • Ai will now use super units in custom battle
  • Ai for super units improved
  • Some UI sounds volume not adjusting with effects volume
  • Fixed being able to spawn in places which are no longer controlled
  • Fixed an issue where an AI completing a super unit would reward it to the player lol
  • Ai no longer walk through vehicles
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes lol

**CHANGES**

  • Removed buildings outside of bases
  • Decreased fps bot difficulty (specifically their reaction time)
  • Ai tanks now aim faster


  • Adjustments to colour grading
  • Changed some skyboxes and removed compression from them
  • Updated weapon icons, map icons
  • Spartan fire rate increased
  • Cleaned up fighter jet UI

**NEW**

  • Ai bots now smarter at choosing the right weapon
  • Ai bots now get less accurate the further their target
  • Ai now targets enemy air more effectively
  • New sniper texture and scope fix
  • New textures for assault rifle, Lmg, sniper
  • New model for ranger (secondary pistol), at launcher
  • New animations for AT launcher and pistol, fixed some other animations
  • New weapon selection screen
  • New interceptor interior
  • All new production bases to replace the old ones
  • Rocks on maps
  • Bullet trails for all types of munitions
  • More detailed killed by panel which includes what weapon they used and their score
  • Loading screen now displays info for the map game mode and stuff
  • Medal system for headshots, longshots and multi-kills for within 4 seconds of the previous
  • Live feed of who killed who
  • Can press esc to open paus menu while in map, can no longer quit fps campaign battles
  • New soundtracks


**KNOWN ISSUES**

  • Multi monitor setups may not display the game correctly
  • Planets can be too close to each other blocking the UI
  • Some rocks spawn in the air
  • Being Attacked 2 times in 1 turn can give an incorrect battle result and overlap menus
  • Textures on some destroyed buildings look broken
  • Some guns remain in the air when people are killed

 

What's planned for the next update:

The next update will be focused on the FPS portion of the game much like this one is, It may include: New economic and science bases, effects for destroyed aircraft and cockpit changes, new vehicles, further AI improvements and potentially squads for commands.  After that the plan is for more Strategy content.
