An update on Galactic Disharmony


Hello all, It's been a while.

I have had a few questions asking where the updates are so first things first, where are the updates? My honest answer is that I finished uni about a year and a half ago now and I got a shiny new job working in game development. This has meant firstly less spare time to make games and secondly, I spend the week making games so I am less driven to work on this when I do have time.

That being said I still enjoy working on this every now and then and I will commit to finishing Galactic Disharmony later this year and an upcoming large update will be released 'soon' with the progress I have made over the last year.

Expected patch notes for the next update:

Gameplay Features:
-Improved falling (fall damage, deployable parachutes, better falling animation)
-Sliding (crouch while sprinting to slide)


Level Editor:
-Terrain editing, flatten tool, raise/lower, smooth and environment presets such as desert and tundra
-Time Of Day options such as fog, day, night and evening
-Placing objects, vehicle spawners and objectives 
-Not sure how to share levels you create yet but am interested in steam workshop ;) )


Custom Battle Improvements:
-New map selection for custom battles (filter generated, built-in and custom maps and their game modes )
-Some pre-made maps for custom battle
-Related to this you can now queue multiple matches from this map selection screen and it will automatically play them


Other changes and improvements:
-Some improved art assets, sounds and animations (guns mainly)
-Bug fixes
-Some improved particle effects
-More immersive first person camera when in aircraft
-Alarm when a vehicle has low health
-Camera shake based on explosions
